A Wet Room With Brushed Bronze Brassware

This client came to us wanting to maximise the potential of their space, aiming for a more practical and enjoyable bathroom experience. They envisioned a modern wet room that would emphasise warmth and relaxation. To bring this vision to life, we first reconfigured the layout of the wet room’s main components by relocating both the basin and shower. As a result, the space immediately opened up, creating a more functional and inviting layout.

Furthermore, by choosing a clear glass shower screen instead of the previous built-in shower, the room became less visually busy, which helped to create a more open, spacious feel. In addition, the tiles were carefully selected as statement pieces that, when combined, complement each other beautifully. This balance of textures adds a layer of subtle interest to the design. Finally, the brushed bronze brassware serves as the perfect finishing touch, seamlessly tying together all the elements of the space and enhancing the overall warmth and style.

Renovation with Brushed Bronze Brassware:

The client sought to renovate their bathroom into a wet room to enhance both functionality and style. By relocating the shower from a confined alcove to a position near natural light, the space now feels open and airy. A clear glass shower screen effectively contains water while maintaining an unobstructed aesthetic, contributing to a spacious and inviting atmosphere.

To preserve the original amenities in the new wet room, a freestanding bath with a standalone bath filler was chosen instead of a fitted model. Positioned away from the corner to avoid the sloped ceiling, this setup maximises headspace and creates a comfortable environment for relaxation.

The client’s existing patterned wallpaper became a focal point, ultimately influencing the tile selection to ensure a complementary yet balanced design. Hexagonal tiles in a latte shade were chosen for the floor, providing a subtle geometric pattern in a warm, neutral tone that harmonises with the room’s décor. Meanwhile, a textured white wall tile contrasts with the smooth, warm-toned painted walls, adding subtle visual interest. Overall, the colour scheme was designed to foster a warm, relaxing atmosphere, accentuated by the Aqualla Aromawell radiator, which diffuses essential oils for a spa-like experience.

For furniture, a combination of gloss anthracite on the basin unit and gloss white on the WC unit and worktops created a sleek look while allowing the vibrant wallpaper to stand out without overwhelming the space. A countertop basin paired with wall-mounted taps offers a touch of modern luxury, and new wall-mounted lighting flanking the existing mirror provides further customisability to the ambience.

Brushed bronze fixtures were the finishing touch, complementing the wet room’s warm tones and adding an elegant, cohesive finish to this unique, visually striking wet room.
