Wet Room with Tiled Seating in the Wall

Our customer came to us wanting to completely renovate their bathroom into a wet room. It was a priority to the client that the wet room was designed to meet their practical needs and include a tiled seating area. This was for accessibility and ease, whilst also updating the aesthetics of the room to feel more modern.

Design features:

We designed this wet room to facilitate an open and practical showering experience to meet the needs of the client. By changing the layout we were able to create a large shower area where the floor was one level. This means there is no step needed into the shower. The new layout not only allows the room to feel bigger and more open, but it is also a better use of space.

We wanted to ensure we designed and installed the shower area to be extremely functional and fit for purpose for our customer. It was important that there was an area near the shower where the customer could be seated. We designed a boxing into the wall and created a tiles seating area, which is a fantastic feature as it also blends into the background. We then added a concealed shower which allows you to turn on the shower and let it warm before entering. The shower itself has the options of using the rainfall shower head or the handset, making the shower experience all the more functional and fit for purpose.

In order to further utilise the space the customer opted for fitted furniture, which not only conceals your pipework but also adds plenty of storage for your belongings. The addition of wall mounted shower baskets are another useful tool in storing those necessary showering products. The addition of the grab rails are good practical solution to the clients need for accessibility.

Having a feature tile creates a nice focal point in the room, and the oak effect furniture is a nice contrast to the overall neutral look of the tiles. The client also opted for a duel fuel towel warmer which provides you with the flexibility of heating the room electrically. This is great for an energy saving option. We loved this project and poviding the customer with a space they love and that will last for years to come.
